Nycomed has broad product expertise in the production of liquids and semisolids. With our comprehensive technology portfolio, offering both specific and niche technologies, our production capabilities range from nutritional and vitamin products to hormones and other pharmaceutical products.

Several of Nycomeds European sites offer contract manufacturing for liquids and semisolids: Singen is the competence center and has the broadest portfolio from liquids to semiliquids, stick packs and ointments. Vitamin products and nutritionals are provided by Elverum and Lyszkowice. Additionally, Elverum has a key competence in BFS technology. Ekenäs is capable of handling hormone products. Capacities in non-sterile liquids and semisolids are also available in the Latin-American sites in Brazil and Mexico. Our plants in the US are focused on topical products producing a wide range of products (ointments, liquids, foil packs).


The filling process is largely automated with electronic sensors for constant quality and filling control. In addition, constant visual inspection/surveillance by our laboratories guarantees that only high quality products leave our facilities.
